Sept. 27 game-day update: Ravens–Cowboys injuries and roster news

Game-day update: September 27, 2026, 11:38 AM Eastern. Updated with the latest verified injury and roster news.

Baltimore arrives in Brazil trying to finish what it could not against New Orleans. A week after losing a second-half lead in its home opener, the Ravens face the Dallas Cowboys at Maracanã Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Kickoff is 4:25 p.m. Eastern on CBS. Dallas is designated the home team for the neutral-site game, the NFL's first regular-season contest in Rio de Janeiro. Both clubs enter 1-1.

Finish drives and finish the game

The Ravens led the Saints before a 24-17 defeat at M&T Bank Stadium last Sunday. Lamar Jackson completed 21 of 31 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown, but his final pass was intercepted. Derrick Henry had 51 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 first-half carries as Baltimore built its advantage.

The issue in Rio goes beyond producing a faster start. Baltimore must turn productive possessions into enough points and protect a lead if it earns one. New head coach Jesse Minter said after the Saints game that the team would examine its play calls and decisions across all three phases.

Dallas presents a different kind of test. Its offense scored 37 points against Washington in Week 2. Dak Prescott can put pressure on Baltimore to keep scoring, making empty possessions more costly.

Jackson and Henry against Dallas

Jackson's passing and running threat gives Baltimore more than one route to move the ball. Henry can also help the Ravens control the pace if they create running lanes and stay out of long-yardage situations.

Dallas will be missing cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, all listed as out on the official matchup injury report. Baltimore still needs sustained drives to capitalize on those absences and limit Prescott's opportunities.

The Ravens have won six of seven meetings with Dallas, including their last matchup in 2024. That history says little about Sunday's result, but it underlines how unusual this setting is for two familiar NFL teams.

Game-day availability

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley is out with a toe injury, and Zay Flowers remains questionable with a hamstring injury after returning to limited practice Friday. Baltimore's Friday update puts Carson Vinson in line for his first career start in Stanley's place. Flowers' return is still unconfirmed.

Nnamdi Madubuike and Teddye Buchanan practiced fully all week and have no injury designation. Their potential returns would give Baltimore more options up front and at linebacker. Trey Hendrickson progressed to full participation Friday and also has no game-status designation on the official injury report.

The Ravens also elevated safety K'Von Wallace from the practice squad Saturday, adding depth in the secondary and on special teams. These updates reflect confirmed roster moves and injury designations; the final game-day inactive list is not included.

Sunday offers Baltimore an immediate chance to answer its first loss. The Ravens need their offense to maintain pressure for four quarters, and their defense must keep Prescott from turning the neutral-site game into a shootout.
