Raptors control the glass, hand Wizards a 112-102 loss at Capital One Arena

The Washington Wizards never led Friday night, and the Toronto Raptors made sure they never got the chance.

Buried early
The Raptors ran out to a 34-21 first quarter and stretched their advantage to as many as 17 points. The difference lived on the glass and in the paint. Toronto outrebounded Washington 53-40 and pulled down 19 offensive rebounds to the Wizards' six, turning that edge into a 52-32 advantage in points in the paint. The Raptors also won the fast-break battle 16-12.
Washington shot 30 of 79 from the field (38 percent) and 12 of 37 from three.
