Virginia and Virginia Tech meet after contrasting soccer results

Virginia hosts Virginia Tech in men’s soccer Friday, October 2, at 8 p.m. Eastern at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville.

Virginia comes off a 3–2 win at Stanford on September 25. Virginia Tech’s latest result was a 3–0 home loss to SMU on September 27.

The Cavaliers will try to carry their three-goal road performance into a home ACC matchup. For the Hokies, the first question is finding a goal after being shut out in their previous appearance.

Both schools confirm Friday’s date and kickoff. Virginia follows the matchup with a home game against Queens on October 6; Virginia Tech hosts Longwood that day.
