Football: Winless Towson hosts Hampton at Johnny Unitas Stadium Saturday

The Towson Tigers (0-8, 0-4 in conference play) host the Hampton Pirates (1-7, 0-4) on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md. The game airs on FloSports and MNMT.

Towson's close losses

The Tigers have lost each of their last five games, and four of those were decided by seven points or fewer. They lost 41-40 at Monmouth on Oct. 3, 24-20 at Campbell on Oct. 17, 33-28 at Delaware State on Sept. 26 and 31-24 to Stony Brook at home on Oct. 10. Their other game in that stretch was a 41-26 home loss to Morgan State on Sept. 19.

The offense has put up points in those games, scoring 20 or more in each of the five.

On defense, TJ Sands has a team-high 64 tackles and Weston Woodard has 2.5 sacks.

Hampton's recent results

The Pirates have lost each of their last five games. They fell 42-21 at Norfolk State on Sept. 19, 44-20 to Campbell on Sept. 26, 27-13 to Howard on Oct. 3, 35-21 at Sacred Heart on Oct. 17 and 49-13 to Monmouth at home on Oct. 24.

Tre'Von Taylor has completed 70 of 129 passes for 880 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. Donovan Shepard leads the team in rushing with 62 carries for 223 yards. Isaiah Smith has 17 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns.

Cam Sturdifen leads Hampton with 72 tackles, and Korede Sogbesan has two sacks.

Both teams are winless in conference play, 0-4 each, heading into the matchup.
