Coppin had the higher totals in kills, 60–55, and digs, 77–61, but Morgan’s blocking and serving helped reverse the match. The Bears finished with 17 team blocks and 10 aces, against six blocks and six aces for the Eagles.
Jada Williams and Zayda Thomas each had 13 kills for Morgan. Williams also recorded three solo blocks and eight block assists. Isabelle Brown supplied 42 assists and 19 digs, while Michaela Panekova served four aces.
Cherisse Atilano led Coppin with 19 kills and 13 digs. Ivanna Luna added 12 kills, Eva Rovello had 45 assists and 16 digs, and Coco Figueroa led the Eagles with 25 digs.
Morgan moved to 6–13 overall and 5–2 in MEAC play. Coppin fell to 15–7 and 6–1 after the five-set defeat.
