Maryland field hockey beats Iowa 5-1 at home to improve to 16-1

Maryland scored three goals in the first quarter and led 3-0 after 15 minutes. Iowa did not score in the opening quarter.

Neither team scored in the second quarter, and Maryland took its 3-0 lead into the second half.
