Kendall Gilmore broke a halftime tie, and Maryland added two fourth-quarter goals to defeat Delaware 4–1 on Oct. 4 at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

Jordyn Hollamon scored twice for the No. 2 Terrapins, who improved to 11–0 overall and remained 2–0 in Big Ten play. The university's recap identified the victory as Maryland's 15th consecutive win over Delaware.

The game began with goals at both ends. Hollamon opened the scoring at 6:34, but Delaware answered at 10:00 when Livia van't Hek finished with an assist from Avary Miller.

Neither team scored in the second quarter. Maryland entered halftime with an 8–2 shot advantage, but the score remained 1–1, leaving the result unsettled despite the hosts' greater volume of attempts.

Gilmore supplied the decisive finish at 34:27. Her goal put the Terrapins ahead for good, and Maryland carried the 2–1 lead into the fourth quarter.

Feliz Kuhne increased the margin at 46:13. Hollamon then added her second at 51:54, this time assisted by Josie Hollamon, to complete the scoring.

The official box score credited Maryland with 16 shots and nine shots on goal, compared with five shots and two on target for Delaware. The Terps also held a 6–1 advantage in penalty corners and allowed only one Delaware shot in the final quarter.

Maryland had now won all seven of its home games, allowing only two goals across those contests. The win also came on a day when the program honored its senior and graduate classes.

The Terps' next scheduled game was a Big Ten road matchup at Michigan on Oct. 9.
