Early goals and Klebasko shutout carry Maryland past Boston College — September 4, 2026

Maryland made its first road trip of the season a winning one on Sept. 4, beating Boston College 2–0 in Newton, Massachusetts, behind first-half goals from Francisca Eschoyez and Feliz Kuhne.
The No. 13 Terrapins improved to 3–0 in the opening game of their B1G/ACC Challenge weekend. Alyssa Klebasko made four saves to preserve the shutout, her 18th in college, according to Maryland's recap.
Eschoyez put the visitors ahead at 6:33. Maia Adamson and Babs van Hest received assists on the goal. Kuhne doubled the lead at 20:48, with Maci Bradford and van Hest assisting, giving Maryland a two-goal cushion before halftime.
Boston College tested Klebasko early. The Eagles recorded three shots in the first quarter, and she made three saves in that period. One more save in the second quarter helped Maryland reach the break without conceding.
The second half required no additional scoring from the Terrapins. They held Boston College without a shot in the third quarter and allowed just one in the fourth, while continuing to produce chances at the other end.
The official box score credited Maryland with 13 shots, seven on goal, compared with six shots and four on target for Boston College. The Eagles had a 5–3 advantage in penalty corners, but could not turn those opportunities into a goal.
Van Hest's two assists connected her to both scoring plays, while Eschoyez followed her two-goal outing against Temple with another finish. Maryland had allowed only one goal through its opening three games.
The Terps remained in Newton for a Sept. 6 neutral-site meeting with Duke to conclude the challenge weekend.
