Clarisa Iudicello scored one goal and assisted on another as Liberty defeated Richmond 2–0 on Oct. 4 at Crenshaw Field. The No. 17 Lady Flames improved to 7–4 with their second shutout of the weekend, following a 2–0 win over Old Dominion.

Iudicello converted Julieta Tornati’s setup at 13:36, then supplied the pass for Pia Iapichino’s second-quarter goal. Liberty led by two at halftime, but Richmond created the greater pressure after the break. Liberty’s official recap documents both the early scoring and the defensive finish.

The Spiders outshot Liberty 10–3 in the second half and earned five penalty corners during that span. Diane Saint Martin made three of her four saves after halftime, including consecutive stops on a third-quarter corner. Josefina Tomasi added a fourth-quarter defensive save.

Richmond finished ahead 13–10 in total shots and 7–3 in corners, but Liberty placed seven shots on goal to the Spiders’ five. The Lady Flames’ early finishing and late defending preserved their fourth shutout of the season.

Richmond also stood at 7–4 after the game. Liberty returned home next for Georgetown.
