Clarisa Iudicello scored three second-half goals as Liberty pulled away from Longwood for an 8–0 victory on Sept. 13 in Lynchburg. Six Lady Flames scored in a Senior Day win that improved No. 13 Liberty to 4–2 and delivered its first home victory of the season.

Liberty honored Kyleigh Faust, Tori Griffiths and Luna Prieri before the game. Griffiths later assisted on the goal that completed Iudicello’s hat trick. Mia Santana and Alexia Guedouar also scored their first collegiate goals. The official recap details the individual milestones.

Santana and Pia Iapichino supplied a 2–0 halftime lead. Iudicello began her scoring in the third quarter, when Guedouar and Josefina Tomasi also found the cage. Two more Iudicello goals and a Julieta Tornati penalty stroke completed a six-goal second half.

The official box score captures the scale of Liberty’s pressure: 51 shots, including 30 on goal, against two Longwood attempts. The Lady Flames earned 17 penalty corners; the Lancers earned one.

Longwood did not record a shot through the first three quarters. Liberty, meanwhile, attempted 11 shots in each of the first two periods, 13 in the third and 16 in the fourth. The Lady Flames continued creating opportunities after establishing a comfortable lead rather than relying on a brief scoring burst.

The defensive workload was correspondingly light, with one Liberty save needed to complete the shutout. Longwood fell to 0–5. For the Lady Flames, the result provided an immediate response to a 2–1 home loss to Virginia two days earlier and a strong finish to their first home weekend.
