Commanders DL Javon Kinlaw has season-ending MCL surgery

Washington Commanders defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw underwent season-ending surgery on his MCL on Tuesday, Adam Schefter reported Wednesday morning.

The procedure ends Kinlaw's 2026 season and leaves the Commanders without the defensive lineman for the remainder of the year.

The news arrives as Washington sits at 2-4-1 and second in the NFC East. The Commanders are coming off a 27-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, according to ESPN.

Washington returns home this weekend to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET, the first game the Commanders will play since Kinlaw's surgery.
