Virginia men head west looking to respond at Stanford

Virginia men’s soccer visits Stanford on Friday, September 25, with kickoff scheduled for 10 p.m. Eastern, or 7 p.m. Pacific. The match is part of the Cavaliers’ ACC schedule.

Virginia lost 3–2 at Wake Forest on September 19 after beating Liberty by the same score at home on September 12. Both matches produced five total goals, but opposite outcomes for the Cavaliers.

Friday’s road assignment provides a chance to reverse the Wake Forest result. Limiting Stanford’s chances while retaining enough attacking threat to score away from home are the clearest questions coming out of those two recent games.

Virginia returns home to face Virginia Tech on October 2 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
