VCU seeks first victory as Fordham visits Athletic Village

VCU welcomes Fordham to VCU Athletic Village on Saturday, September 26, at 3 p.m. Eastern. Admission is free, and the men’s soccer match will be available on ESPN+.

The Rams have not won in their eight regular-season matches. Their last two games ended in 2–1 losses, first at home to Old Dominion and then at St. Bonaventure on September 19.

Those narrow defeats make the next step clear: VCU has found a goal in both matches but needs either more production or fewer concessions to change the result. Its last shutout came in a scoreless draw at Wake Forest in August.

Fordham’s visit is VCU’s only remaining September fixture. The Rams travel to Dayton on October 3 before home matches against George Washington and Loyola Chicago, so Saturday offers a chance to alter their early Atlantic 10 trajectory.
