Old Dominion opens Sun Belt play Thursday against App State

Old Dominion opens Sun Belt volleyball play with App State on Thursday, September 24, and Friday, September 25. Both matches begin at 6 p.m. Eastern at the ODU Volleyball Center in Norfolk.

The Monarchs return home after losses to East Carolina, Campbell and Maryland in Greenville. The Campbell match went five sets; East Carolina and Maryland each defeated ODU in three.

The first conference series therefore brings two immediate tests: ending that three-match losing stretch and responding quickly between consecutive meetings with the same opponent. Thursday’s result will set the context for Friday’s rematch.

ODU lists Thursday as Monarchs Give Back and Friday as Faculty/Staff Night. Friday’s match has an ESPN+ link on the official schedule.
