George Washington’s early lead gives way to 6–1 loss at Delaware

Jaden Dubon scored in the fifth minute for George Washington, but Delaware answered with six straight goals to beat the Revolutionaries 6–1 on Tuesday in Newark.
Dubon’s goal at 4:57, assisted by Yago Torres and Finn Roberts, put GW in front. Freddy Jeffreys tied the match with a penalty kick in the 14th minute. Frederik Flaskager then scored twice before halftime, giving Delaware a 3–1 lead.
The Blue Hens added three goals after the break. Sean Smith scored in the 67th minute, Flaskager completed his hat trick with 18 minutes remaining, and Thaddeus Glasser added a goal in the 79th minute.
Delaware finished with a 15–11 advantage in shots and an 8–2 edge in shots on goal. GW fell to 4–3–1, while Delaware improved to 5–2–3.
