Brown scores twice as Georgetown rallies past Evansville, 3–2

Jack Brown scored two equalizers and Matthew Van Horn supplied the winner as Georgetown overcame two deficits to beat Evansville 3–2 on Monday in Washington.

Alejandro Fernandez put Evansville ahead at 3:14. Brown answered at 17:41, assisted by Aidan Godinho, and the teams reached halftime tied at 1–1.

Evansville regained the lead early in the second half when Devin Shepherd finished a chance created by Fernandez at 50:03. Brown’s second goal tied the game at 64:00. Just over four minutes later, Van Horn scored from a Noah Satriano assist to give the Hoyas their first lead.

Both teams finished with 12 shots. Georgetown put six on target to Evansville’s five, while the visitors earned nine corner kicks to the Hoyas’ four.

The win moved Georgetown to 7–1–1. Evansville fell to 1–5–2.
