Howard returns from its open week with Friday trip to Rutgers

Howard resumes its football season at Rutgers on Friday, September 25, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern in Piscataway, New Jersey. Howard’s official schedule notes that the game was moved from September 26.

The Bison enter after a September 12 loss at Indiana, 55–0. They opened with a 31–24 victory over Alabama A&M before falling 28–21 to Richmond, putting them at 1–2 through three games.

The matchup offers a clear test of Howard’s response after being held scoreless in Bloomington. Sustaining possessions and limiting the damage when Rutgers has the ball are the central questions.

Howard’s next scheduled game is against Hampton on October 3 at Audi Field, with a 3 p.m. start.
