Georgetown takes consecutive sweeps into Big East road opener

Georgetown volleyball begins Big East play with two road matches: Xavier in Cincinnati on Friday, September 25, at 2 p.m. Eastern, followed by Butler in Indianapolis on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Hoyas arrive after sweeping Howard and George Washington on September 17 and 18. Those results followed a four-set loss at UMBC, giving Georgetown two straight wins before the conference portion of its schedule.

The immediate test is carrying that recent form through a change of venue on consecutive days. Friday’s match also gives the Hoyas their first conference result before they turn to Butler.

Georgetown’s next home weekend brings UConn on October 2 and Providence on October 3. The school’s schedule provides viewing and live-stat links for both upcoming road matches.
