George Mason welcomes Ohio State for first meeting

George Mason men’s soccer hosts Ohio State on Friday, September 25, at 7 p.m. Eastern at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax. The Patriots’ weekly athletics guide identifies it as the first meeting between the programs.

The same guide lists Mason at 1–4–2 and Ohio State at 5–1–1. That contrast gives Mason a chance to measure itself against an opponent with five wins already on its record.

With no previous meeting to use as a comparison, the opening exchanges will provide the first direct evidence of the matchup. Mason’s ability to create chances while managing Ohio State’s attacks will be the central on-field question.

The university lists ESPN+ coverage and a Friday Night Lights promotion for the match.
