Capitals return to Washington for Friday preseason game against Boston

The Capitals host the Bruins at Capital One Arena on Friday, September 25, at 7 p.m. Eastern. The NHL’s schedule confirms the preseason matchup and a second game at Philadelphia on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Washington’s most recent outing was a 5–2 preseason win over the Flyers in Hershey on September 21. Jonny Brodzinski scored twice and Ryan Chesley recorded three assists in that game.

The Friday matchup provides the next opportunity to evaluate Washington’s camp group in game action. The lineup and goaltending assignments remain key information to check when the team releases them; the Hershey performances do not establish who will dress against Boston.

Saturday’s game is scheduled for Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, making this a consecutive-night finish to the weekend.
