American women host Lafayette seeking response after Army loss

American hosts Lafayette at Reeves Field on Saturday, September 26, at 1 p.m. Eastern. The women’s soccer matchup is also the Eagles’ Alumni Day.

American enters after a 3–0 loss at Army on September 19. That followed 5–1 defeats against George Washington and William & Mary, leaving defensive improvement as an immediate priority.

The Eagles’ most recent clean sheet came in a scoreless draw with Elon on September 6. Reproducing that defensive result while finding a goal would give American a path to a better conference outcome against Lafayette.

Saturday is a home opportunity between road assignments. American visits Loyola Maryland on September 30 and Lehigh on October 4, making this Reeves Field match a chance to stop its losing run before consecutive away dates.
