American University women's volleyball beats Loyola Maryland in five sets

The American University Eagles won a five-set match at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday, beating the Greyhounds 3-2 at Reitz Arena in Baltimore.

How the match went

The Eagles took the first set 25-22. Loyola Maryland answered by winning the second set 25-22 and then the third set 27-25 to move one set from the win.

American responded in the fourth set, winning 25-16 to force a fifth. The Eagles then closed out the match with a 15-10 win in the deciding set.

Records and next game

American improved to 18-5 with the win. Loyola Maryland fell to 7-16.
